My students attend a low income school. Most of the students do not have the resources to purchase kits such as the one I am requesting. Our math department did not receive any funding this year; thus, I do not have any resources to provide my students with the model kit. The kit will be used in an 7th grade Algebra class. These students were selected by their 6th grade math teacher , along with their test scores, to skip the 7th grade math curriculum and jump straight into Algebra 1. These students are very capable and motivated to go beyond the given curriculum. They will undoubtedly enjoy using a real model kit and applying it to what they have learned.
