My kindergarten students include varied ages and abilities. Some students are able to read on their own and others are beginning to learn sight words and letters. They all enjoy reading books every day and each has their favorite books. The students love to share books with a friend and also their Book Buddy, a classroom of 5th graders who come to read with our class weekly for 25 minutes. Each student looks forward to reading with their "Buddy". Our school is located in a low income community of Southern California.
