I teach within a high poverty area at a Title 1 school. It is a 3rd grade class of 15 girls and 11 boys who are filled with an internal motivation to succeed in everything they do, and have a great appreciation for knowledge. My students are so talented musically, as a special surprise for the class, some of them perform songs in front of the class on Fridays. The students inspire me to be as creative as I can be to provide them with the best learning materials and environment possible. I spend a great amount of time planning for lessons as well as money on the classroom.(You can see this in my uploaded picture)! I really think my students would benefit from a listening center because they would be able to hear and listen to a variety of stories that they might have trouble reading, and it would help them a lot with their reading comprehension. Many of my students are audial learners which means they would retain a lot of info with this remarkable tool.
