Our school is an elementary campus serving pre-k through 5th grade students. We are located in the inner city where poverty and crime rates are high. My fourth grade students are second language learners whose home language is other than English. They are very eager to learn but have limited access to outside educational support and resources. Their learning needs range anywhere from special education services to high achieving. Every day I face a challenge in trying to meet their individual needs and providing differentiated instruction. When it comes to serving their needs, every little bit helps.
