Our school is in a high poverty area, but there is a college nearby and the students and parents are really motivated. I have bought many teaching materials for my class with my own money over the years such as learning games, posters, even pencils, erasers, and whiteboard markers which I have to buy yearly. Our school has hardly any money for supplies. This is the first time I have made a request on donors choose. I am very thankful for all the help you can give. Most of my students are second language learners, but all of my students need to gain more confidence speaking in front of a class. My students take good care of the materials that we do have in our class and are good at encouraging one another. They enjoy doing projects together and helping each another. They are very good readers and enjoy writing. They are also good at math. They need more practice speaking and finding the right words to express their ideas.
