They are were especially excited about the smelly markers and clay. When I showed them our supplies they all clapped and cheered, for some, it was the first time they ever touched and worked with clay. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. \r\n\r\nTo begin with, all of the 27 students from K-6 did individual research on an animal they picked from a box of student suggestions. Their research included a checklist, a fill in the blank form, and the option to create a slide show or a paragraph, every child created a poster display and a clay piece of which they made independently and painted. They had so much fun creating their posters with dots, sharpies, and smelly markers. When I asked them after we finished the project, their favorite part was the clay and the anticipation during the two days waiting for them to dry before we could paint them was so hard for them, they couldn't wait to paint them.\r\n\r\nIn the end, we created a \"zoo\" and displayed the clay projects, posters, and reports in our classroom. We invited other classrooms and staff to come enjoy the projects while our kids presented their projects. They are so excited for the next project and we still have enough clay for the next project that we are planning to do a food related project. We really wanted to let you know how much it means that you chose us of all classes.","fullyFundedDate":1758951609364,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-creative-minds/9659373/","projectTitle":"Enhancing Creative Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Yang","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8934597_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1679697649853","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8934597"},{"teacherId":9967616,"projectId":9162572,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous gift for our Literacy Lab.
