My students come from low income families and take on many responsibilities at home. Some come to school tired and unmotivated. Many come unprepared with the basic Math skills necessary to succeed in their current class. Most of my students are in one of the Personalized Learning Environments (PLEs) of the school and have had me as their teacher for two consecutive years. These are highly active students who are ready to learn. Still, there are several students struggling and need extra assistance and ambition to succeed in class.
