My second graders are fun-loving students eager to express themselves. Many of my students struggle because of their socioeconomic situation. Half of the students in the school are on free or reduced price lunch. Each scholar comes from a diverse background that often needs encouragement and support. I strive to create a safe and trusting environment in my classroom. Through writing, my students can express their fears, feelings, thoughts and experiences.
