My students are a part of the Institute of Community Leaders (ICL), a small school within one of the largest schools in California. ICL is a school within a school where we strive to build leaders within our community. Students all are expected to take the minimum courses for applying to college, not just to graduate. My students are an amazing group of young adults who are motivated to do well in school. They come in for tutoring before school, during lunch, and after school to ask questions they have. They work together in groups to help each other do better in class. The energy in my classes keeps me going because my students are excited about the different aspects of their education.
