The third graders at Chicago International Charter School have inquisitive and creative minds. Our high-needs students have often experienced traumatic events leaving them vulnerable and highly insecure. For some, school is the only place they feel successful. Many are very sensitive. This is why I pay particular attention to building my students' self esteem.
