I teach the best kids in the city of Philadelphia! My 7th and 8th grade students represent a variety of countries and cultures. They bring their stories, their languages, and their strong work ethic into the classroom, making our learning experiences diverse and rich. In addition to being culturally diverse, my students are the kindest, most compassionate young people I have ever encountered. They are stellar students and model citizens. We don't have recess, nor do we have any outdoor space for our students to play. They spend their entire day inside classrooms. These gardens will provide my students with the opportunity to create and enjoy an outdoor oasis, where they can relax and observe and appreciate nature.
