Our nest will be a safe space for students to come and learn in an environement that strategically is created based on what they will need. All students in grades K-4 will benefit from these seating materials. Flexible seating space in our NEST will provide not only learning opportunities, but social emotional connections to help students regulate their emotions and behaviors. My students are a diverse group, who are learning in an inquiry-based, International Baccalaureate school . I plan on trying my best to receive tools for them that will enhance their thirst for knowledge, inquiry, and learning! The most important thing for student's learning to grow with a world view, as global citizens is that students are able to take ownership of their learning and find answers to their wonders. I plan to engage and inspire students to learn more about the world around them. I want to be able to support a wide variety of independent and cooperative learning activities in the classroom while meeting students' needs. Many of the students will benefit from having comfortable seating . These items will allow students the benefit of being comfortable, meeting their sensory needs and helping them stay focused on their daily tasks.
