My students are amazing kids attending first grade. Our class is very special because is part of a dual immersion school. My students will be bilingual/biliteral by 4th grade. Right now they are being expose to instruction in Spanish 90% of the day. For this reason, having books, text, and different materials in Spanish will benefit them to learn the language. My students are already reading in Spanish, however; our Spanish library is very limited. During our reading time my students don't have many options to choose from. Also, there is a lot of vocabulary my students need to learn that will help with their writing and reading comprehension. Finally, they love to play with puzzles. Our classroom has only a couple of puzzles, some are too easy and others get taken right away. Rainy days will be fun with more puzzle in the classroom.
