Each and every one of my students comes to school every day with an inquiring mind. Their faces shine with enthusiasm as they are presented with new topics in math, reading, and world studies. They are little beings. They have personalities. Unique ones. Quiet ones. Vibrant ones. But most of all, they are caring ones. The students have developed such a strong bond over the course of six weeks. It is very clear that there is one goal that we all share, and that is success. My students believe that success is in their reach, regardless of what their walk home looks like. My students have a strong desire to learn, to be the best that they can be. My students are not afraid to be challenged, even though it may hurt sometimes. Our school is a safe haven, a place our students can learn to be globally minded.
