My students benefit from team teaching of the 4th grade. This means that they are able to get a concentrated and complete science program, which is rare these days! I teach science to the entire 4th grade, so it is a mixed group and for some it may be the closest they get to a high level science class! For others, it is an introduction to academic science that they can take with them to middle school, high school and beyond. When students come back to visit me, they often remark on the science lessons and projects that they participated in when they were in 4th grade! This is the kind of stuff that kids remember FOREVER!!!!!
