My students need books, coins stamps, calculators, and play grocery sets to learn about financial literacy. I want to teach my students the skills they need to develop a strong foundation for lifelong financial competence. I created this project because I want to help my students discover the relationships of earning to spending and saving. I strongly believe that in doing this, my students will begin to understand the value of money. The books I requested will give my students the opportunity to read and learn about saving money, borrowing money, spending money, among other important things. The grocery set, the coins stamps and the toy register will give my students the opportunity to set up a dramatic play center where the students can take turns being the customers and the store clerks. What better way to teach my students about financial literacy than through dramatic play!
