I am a school counselor at an elementary school in the New York City. We have a total of 500 student, Pre-K through 3rd grade(growing to the 5th grade in the next two years) half of which are Special Education students. We are in an area where the children are exposed to violence, homelessness and hunger on a regular basis. The children all have great potential and spirit.
