The students will use plastic wrap and clear packaging tape to create art that enhances the total school environment. The sculptures will be installed in our school which will also encourage students to take ownership in their learning environment. Students will learn about sculpture through the Artist Mark Jenkins. They will discuss the inspiration and meaning behind his works. Installation and public art will be the central theme for this unit. We will explore Mark Jenkins sculptures and his integration of sculpture assimilated into their environment. Students will use literacy skills to interpret the artist's works and create their own.
