Most of the kids on my soccer team look forward to our practices and games all week. It's what gets them to school each morning and what helps them get out all their bundled up energy. Living in New York City, our kids don't get much opportunity to exercise or get involved in team sports. However, my team of 15 kids are amazing. Although we have virtually nowhere to practice as a team, they have adapted with flexibility and smiles on their faces. We are currently practicing in the school gym, but our goals were extremely old and broken. To improvise, we have turned four trashcans on their sides that we use as "makeshift goals." I would love to get my kids real soccer goals to help them feel like our team matters and deserves the proper equipment. If we were granted this donation, we would also gladly share these goals with the other school we share the gym with.
