Have you ever watched a low budget film with poor video quality and sound? What were your thoughts about that film? Did it keep you engaged or were you distracted the entire time? If you were distracted were you even able to finish watching the film? Well, the accessibility to a video camera in our classroom will afford students to not only tell stories of our school and community but they will be able to tell stories with a good quality video. Not only that, this access to a camera will also broaden and enhance their skill set. The buttons on a camera can be quite overwhelming. In the classroom, these students would have the ability to learn a comprehensive overview of basic camera settings as well as editing. Students will be excited to work with professional equipment and give them a greater desire to produce professional work! Many videographers have to go all around the world to film many different people and stories. The world is represented right here at our school and we want to hear their stories. So let's give these students an opportunity to create good quality videos to share with others.
