These eager to catch-up low performing urban neighborhood students are mostly Hispanic and African Americans from homes that don't have computers or internet. They come from low-income, hard working home environments where language is a barrier,and time and energy for helping with homework is a challenge for most parents. The school has an essential role as promoter of academics and to provide the spark for the thirst of learning . Providing a higher tech learning environment is necessary to level the field with schools that have everything they need due to better financial circumstances. Technology is a sure motivator to promote talking and enthusiasm. This will inspire more speaking aloud opportunities and conversation and help to develop vocabulary, experiences and something to write about.

About my class
