I teach 6 geometry classes. My students are inner city high school aged kids. Many of them hated math and school before my class. There are not very many examples of success in their communities. I inspire them to be great. They crave assignments which allow them to use creativity. So, I try and find "out-of-the-book" activities as lesson openers.
