When my preschoolers are overwhelmed learning is nearly impossible. Many of my students are soothed by tactile tools. These students love to learn, but face many challenges in their young lives. I've requested an Amazon Fire tablet with kid proof case to allow me to individualize learning for my students with exceptional needs. When my students are on sensory overload a beanbag chair is a comfy space to allow them to reorganize and refocus. I requested play-doh for sensory play. Finally I asked for ink to aid in providing visual supports to aid in language acquisition. My students may not yet be able to say it but seeing it is a start.
