We are in a small, rural town with high poverty levels. Many of our students do not get the opportunity to travel outside their own neighborhoods. They don't have access to books and magazines, except at school. The reading level of many of our students is below average. Often they don't like to read because it is a difficult task for them. They need to practice to get better. These Super Science magazines provide high-interest and relevant articles that students will want to read. Getting a new magazine each month will keep them interested. They will be able to improve their reading skills and learn important science content at the same time.
