I am part of an exciting new program that we are piloting at our school. Each grade level has an ALM (Accelerated Learning Model) classroom. I am proud and fortunate to say that I am the second grade teacher for this model. Our school has a very high ELL population with over 50% of our students coming from a Hispanic background. The majority of our families are living below the poverty level. We have won awards for our inclusive practices with our special education students. The majority of our classes use the cooperative teaching model. Our families are simply amazing!
