In our small school, we have a variety of needs with a limited number of resources. Technology is one of the areas that helps our students to be able to reach beyond the confines of the classroom walls and helps to expose our kids to the world outside of our small valley. In my regular classroom, these Chromebooks will help me to continue and expand our blended learning environment. Unfortunately many of the desktop computers in my room are extremely outdated and are starting to become more of a hindrance to learning rather than a help. We need computers that will allow students to work quickly and efficiently in the online environment. They will also help us to spend less time on troubleshooting outdated technology, and allow us to use the technology the entire time period. We will also use these Chromebooks in a credit retrieval program to help students to graduate. We have started to use the programs for a variety of students, from those who have failed courses to those who have transferred from other states and need to meet our state's requirements to graduate. So far, this have been a valuable tool in helping our school to meet the varying needs of our students.
