I have been teaching in the Philadelphia school district since 2007 and it has been an amazing experience since I started. The students in Philadelphia are unique, talented, and intelligent. And despite the lack of resources and funding available to schools, teachers and administrators strive each and every day to provide our students with everything and more that they deserve to attain an excellent education. I teach high school biology and environmental science at a school in south Philadelphia that serves a diverse and multicultural student population.
