I work mainly with students in grades 3-5 in the area of Mathematics. In addition to working directly in the classroom, I also provide students with remediation lessons and activities. I rely heavily on the use of manipulatives to make learning accessible to all students. My goal is to have a repertoire of manipulatives so that I am able to introduce all objectives with a hands-on object. Our school is a busy tower of learning. It is located in a "high need" urban area, therefore the majority of our students participate in the free lunch program. I am constantly striving to provide engaging activities that will keep our students invested in their own learning.
