My first grade students need a classroom library with multiple, high-interest books to foster their love of reading, gain literacy skills, and meet state standards. It is also recommended that classroom libraries have 500+ titles of various genres. This project not only requests books on a first grade reading level, but also is full of high-quality titles my students cannot wait to read! "We love reading as much as we love recess," is a common phrase heard in our school. With your support, we can reach our goal of having well-stocked classroom library that contains multiple books any student can read.
