Our Dream Catchers are in a student body of over 700 students who represent 30 languages from varied cultures. They love to go to school, as our attendance rate is over 90% each school year. The students are exposed to support from Title I funding, but they have needs specific to the Nevada CCSS, and can only grow when resources parallel changing standards. Language, Transiency, and Financial Demographics are our biggest hurdles in helping them reach their goals. As Dream Catchers, “we work in teams to achieve our dreams” --- Our 1st Grade teaching team is willing to share the requested resources in order to better teach to the CCSS. For most of our students, the resources at school are all they have in order to promote growth and learning. They do not usually have access to supplies for cross-curricular learning, arts infusion, or hands-on activities at home. The First Grade teachers can help broaden their minds with these materials specific to the CCSS!
