Our students are amazing. They are desperate to learn to graduate High School. They come from families who haven't stressed the importance nor value of an education. They live in streets ruled by gangs and violence. There community openly uses drugs and commits crimes. YET, our students make it to school everyday desperate to learn and become successful. Our school is a charter school located in the most dangerous area of Los Angeles. We had a shooting with three killed on our corner this May. We are 100% free lunch. Our Math department doesn't have books or materials. The students have to learn with the creative resources that we get from the internet. These materials will greatly help.
