I truly don't have enough words to express how grateful I am for your support. Because of you, I was able to purchase high-quality resources from TeachersPayTeachers to help my long-term English learners practice the skills they need to be successful on the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC).\r\n\r\nThe ELPAC is a state test given each year to students whose first language is not English. Many of my students have been identified as English learners since kindergarten or since arriving in the United States, and they have been working toward passing this assessment for several years. My goal was to provide targeted practice in the four ELPAC domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The resources you helped fund include practice questions that are very similar to what students see on the actual test.\r\n\r\nSince receiving your support, we have been using these materials almost daily. Sometimes we use them as bell ringers, the first activity students complete when they walk into class. On minimum days with shorter periods, we even have an \"ELPAC Day,\" where we dedicate extra time to practice as a whole class, with partners, or independently. I have also used these resources in our after-school ELPAC Camp, which is open to all English learners at our school who want more practice and support.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, students have shared that this practice has helped them understand what to do on the test and feel less anxious because they feel more prepared. Today, Monday, February 2, we began our first day of ELPAC testing. While results will take a few months, I can confidently say your donation has already made a meaningful impact on my students.\r\n\r\nThese resources are not one-time use, so your donation will continue to support students for years to come. Thank you again for thinking of our classroom and investing in my students' success. I am truly thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1762267707410,"projectUrl":"project/elpac-practice-a-tpt-gift-card-for-tar/9675928/","projectTitle":"ELPAC Practice & a TPT Gift Card for Targeted Resources","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ramos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6392386_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1675824644955","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsramosteacheseld"},{"teacherId":9186470,"projectId":9366791,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our art room has transformed! The new cubby storage has brought stability (literally) to our creative space. No more avalanches of markers and glue sticks, now supplies are neatly organized and easy for students to access.\r\nWe're already putting the cubbies to use in our current project. Because supplies are organized, students can quickly grab what they need.\r\nThe next step for my students is to build on this momentum with collaborative art pieces. With our materials finally secure and accessible, we'll be able to tackle larger group projects with confidence, knowing our supplies will stay safe and ready to use.\r\nYour support has given my students not just storage, but more time, freedom, and joy in their artistic journey. I've seen kids who were never excited about reading suddenly race to the next chapter, ask thoughtful questions, and connect with characters who feel real to them. Percy's humor, bravery, and challenges really speak to them.\r\n\r\nThe graphic novel has been especially helpful for my visual learners and for students who might find longer texts overwhelming. It gives them another way to enjoy the story and feel successful as readers.\r\n\r\nHaving the full series in our classroom means that once students get hooked, they don't have to stop—they can keep reading and exploring the world they've come to love. It's helped build a real reading culture in my classroom.\r\n\r\nI'm so grateful.
