When students have access to movement breaks, their academic time on task increases. Self-regulation stations should be set up in every primary classroom. Trampolines are an important component of a regulation station and will entice students to self-regulate in a fun way. Our learners are increasingly passive receptors of information via screens including phones, tablets, computers and television and they need opportunities for sensory, calming and self-regulation breaks in the classroom. Students are learning to identify when they are off-task and they need a movement break. Trampolines will provide the needed movement within the safe classroom environment. Self-regulation opportunities on a trampoline should increase student engagement.
