I have been teaching at risk students for 6 years in Brooklyn and the Bronx. Students learn by doing and I create hands-on activities for them to feel successful, while teaching them the importance of working with a partner. I enjoy teaching kindergarten and going on field trips where students can use all of their 5 senses to learn. We recently went to the New York Botanical Garden where students got to pick their own vegetables and even taste them. The picture of my class shows us in the rose garden.
