My students are second graders. They are discovering that reading and writing can be fun and not just something they have to do because someone told them to. They are always asking me when we can start another Magic Tree House book. Their reading fluency is slow, so the readers theater book will let them practice their fluency by performing plays. Reading and writing go hand in hand, so the build a sentence will be a great center for my students to practice making sentences.
