My students are from a middle class demographic. They are very active and curious about the world around them. They attend a very active community based school with parents that are actively involved with their kids. The students and parents place a high value on education. The school doesn't qualify for any additional funding for extra services or materials needed in classrooms. The students are just discovering the magic of reading ans seeing how it opens up a whole new world for them. The students are on many different learning levels with many different learning needs. Their teacher teaches to the learning needs of each child instead of the whole. Each child has a specific need in reading. The students and parents like to have their child be constantly challenged and learning according to each of their learning levels. Students enjoy supplemental activities at home to reinforce the learning taught at school. The students would greatly benefit from a leveled reading library.
