My students are GATE (gifted and talented) students between the ages of 10-12. For the most part they have never had the opportunity to have music education. They are bright and eager to learn and their number one request is to learn music. For these students there has never been a music program in their elementary school. Many want to go on to band and orchestra at the junior high school level but are hesitant because they have no musical experience. I'd like to change that.
