My 4th graders are an amazing group of students who have persevered against the odds. Over 83% of our students come from homes that are low income and high poverty. About half of my students also come from limited English homes, where parent and student struggle with the English language. Despite the daily challenges they face they never give up. My 4th graders come to school every day with a smile on their face and the determination to learn. Giving my students the technology they need to become fluent readers can potentially change their lives. Reading is the building block to their future and I want their future to be bright.
