My students come from poverty stricken homes, and most don't know how good it feels to succeed. Some of my students are homeless due to unfortunate circumstances. My classroom is a first grade integrated room in New York. A lot of my students come from broken homes or live with other relatives because their parents have made a wrong choices in their lives. All of my students are visual learners and my school doesn't have the resources that the teaches need and technology is one of these resources. I have 8 ENL students in my room that need more support. I want to ensure that I am doing everything I can to help them succeed. I can't tell you how many times I have looked over and seen the tears of my students because they are frustrated. They have it in them to be great learners and it is my responsibility to make this happen.
