My students are in 9th and 10th grade and attend a special education high school in New York. Together we work on academics, activities of daily living, communication skills and vocational skills. This year, the students are learning work skills by creating and maintaining a school-wide waste reduction program. This program will decrease our schools waste production, generate money for our school through recycling, and create organic compost for our school's garden.
