I teach 2nd grade at a public charter school. I teach my students all the core subjects: reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. This past year I was nominated to be teacher of the year. I truly believe it is because many of my lower performing students over the past two years have grown leaps and bounds in reading. But their growth is not over yet!
