I teach at a small rural charter school where the library has very limited funds and space to purchase new books. Help me bring the outside world to my classroom through books. By providing my students the opportunity to choose diverse and inclusive books, they’ll be able to expand their ability to sympathize with people who are different from themselves or find books where they are able to identify with the protagonist. The ability to see yourself in the material you learn from is essential for connection and increases the likelihood that students are engaged.

About my class
