Hello! My name is MaryKate Mela. I recently started teaching at Toby Farms Middle and Elementary School in the Chester Upland School District. The district and school do not have enough money to have any kind of art budget. We really need basic and specific art materials to do art at all! Our main goals right now (I co-teach with another teacher named Mr. Foreman) are to get the basics. Glue, scissors, paints, brushes, colored pencils, crayons, papers, etc. Our secondary goal would be to make our art room a more functional environment, with special things like light tables, paper cutters, etc. I have been teaching for 8 years + in both Urban and Suburban classrooms. I have never been in such dier need of supplies to have anything to do during a class period. Please consider helping our students have the supplies they deserve for the education and experience they deserve. Thank you, Miss Mela
