My students are enrolled either enrolled in the traditional education class or Mandarin dual language program. All students are required to fullfill the NC Standard Course of Study for their grade level. Providing a safe space, filled with curiosity and wonder is one of the roles of my media centers. As an extension of their classroom, Showing students the rhythm that words bring into our lives is a beautiful thing. As a school library media specialist for more than 475 students, one of my roles is to foster a love of literature and spark curiosity. My responsibilities also include teaching information literacy skills, including empowering students to explore, conduct research, as well as use a variety of resources to enhance units of instruction.
