Our school is the only school in the district to have a dual language program. Students spend 50% of the day learning in English and 50% of the day learning in Spanish. Students as young as kindergarten learn to be responsible for packing up and keeping track of necessary supplies and school-issued Chromebooks between the English and Spanish classrooms each day, as well as to and from their related arts classes. Help our language learners stay organized! We need drawstring book bags and laminated tags for lunch numbers, computer access, and various other technology-related information so that our students can keep up with their belongings as they travel through the school. The use of drawstring book bags will provide our students the ease of keeping all of their supplies together in one bag while allowing for more time for language practice and less time for packing up or running between classes to find missing materials. Providing our students with laminated tags will help prevent us from having to constantly print new tags for students as they are shuffled to and from the classes. Making a small change like providing drawstring book bags and laminated tags will save so much time and disruption, allowing our students the opportunity to dig deeper into language and learning!
