The population of students I serve come from diverse backgrounds. Of the total population 50% are living at or below the poverty line. Many of my students are considered at risk and require patience, consistency, and out-of-the-box thinking to build relationships and help them be successful. Many students are performing well below their grade level for Reading and language arts. This is where the document camera comes in. When I can model strategies for the whole class as they are learning, students are better able master the strategy.

About my class
