My students would benefit from a double sided teaching easel because it it will allow me to switch materials from large group to small group instruction. In order to meet all the different learning needs in my classroom. This will allow for more small group activities, which they love! In these small groups is where much of the magic occurs...where they will work together in different groups to really help each other succeed. They can use the easel to share their group work and teach others what they have learned. When they share their work I often tell them they will be "playing teacher" and teaching us what they have learned and they jump at the opportunity to be in front of the class! Little do they know how important this sharing time is because it often give their peers different ideas and strategies to try.
