My 22 first graders are full of energy and eager to come to school ready to learn new things each day! They are attending a K-12 charter school in Northern Colorado which focuses on student centered learning where the children are encouraged to set personal and academic goals to enhance their learning. My students come from diverse backgrounds with several different levels of learning. Differentiating my instruction to meet the needs of all my students has been very challenging with the limited budget at our school. Some of the children are reading significantly below their peers while others are excelling far above. All of the children are capable of reaching the high expectations set for them by having the proper materials needed for learning.
