My students bring sunshine into my world everyday. They have such an amazing view of the world. My students are grades 9-12. We live in the second largest city in Indiana. We are in a very high performing school, but many of my students struggle. My goal is to have a classroom that inspires them and my hope is to inspire them to give it their all. I find this project brings out the best in them. I allow them to "think" outside the box and I am in awe by what they come up with. I also love that we connect to the younger children in our community. They tend to love the high school students and this is a way for them to "pay it forward". I have them dedicate the books and buddy up with a child. I believe that this connection is long-lasting.
