We live in a rural area with many students living in poverty. We have a wonderful school that provides as much stimulation and opportunity as possible for each student. Some of our students receive the best meal of their day here at our lunch room. Many of my students do not have LEGOS or K'NEX for hands on experiences and manipulation. Several students live with grandparents instead of parents for many different reasons. The grandparents are on fixed incomes and often are raising more that one grandchild without assistance. The children are being provided for as well as possible but are not being provided with many extras such as toys, manipulative's, and learning games.
